Learn the basic structure of Html

Welcome to this article here we will discuss what is the basic structure of Html and all the structural parts of our Html coding.

But before that we have to discuss about what is html ?

Introduction :

Generally, Html stands for the hypertext markup language.

And with the help of this markup language, we are able to create any websites and webpages.

But for creating the websites we have also take the help of javascript and CSS, but we can create a simple static website through this language.

And every html document should contain a certain standard html tags.

And a tag is a command of Html which indicates what how our web pages will look like.

Now, let’s discuss What is the structure of HTML? .

Well if observe our human structure then we will notice that at the top we have our head portion after it comes into our face and our next part in our body.

Similarly, every Html tag first started with an Html tag then we have to declare the head tag and inside the head tag, there is a presence of a title tag and then it comes into our body tag.

And within the body tag, we can define the other tags as well according to our requirements.

But before knowing the basic structure of Html we have to gain some knowledge about the Html tags.

Normally in Html we use two kinds of tags one is pair tags and another is single or unpaired tags.

Paired tags are those tags that have a starting tag as well as an ending tag, such as Html, head, body, these are some examples of paired tags.

And on the other hand, unpaired tags are those tags that only have a starting tag, not any ending tag.

Such as br, is an example of an unpair tag and it is use to breaks the lines.

The basic structure of Html :

Here we create a basic Html example and now we will discuss all the things in details one by one-

Html:

This is the first part of any Html coded document and it actually tells our web browsers that this is an Html document.

We have to save this document with .html or with .htm extention.

Head:

This is the second element of our Html document.

It is a kind of pair tag that suggests that it has a starting tag as well as an ending tag.

But for our convenience, we take the head element as our first Html tag and this also includes a title tag.

The tags are not displayed by our browsers, and this tag has not any inner working with the main part of our content.

We define the <head></head> like this which also suggests the starting of the tag and the ending of the tag.

Title:

The title is the next part of our Html structure and titles are always present insides the head tags

It actually indicates the title of the document.

Titles are not displayed inside our actual text instead of that it is presented at the top of the browser’s window.

But you cannot choose any title, I meant to say that you have to choose the title descriptively, it might be unique and it would be in between the 65 characters of less than 65 characters.

Body:

It is the biggest tag used in our Html structure. And this portion also contains the main part of our Html information.

Here we define the contents of our web pages by declaring various other tags.

This is also an example of pair tags and we declare this

<body>

</body>

and inside this body tag, we can define other tags such as font size, font color, headings, paragraphs, etc.

Besides these basic tags we also use some formatting tags .

Bold:

This is a kind of pair tag which is used to make our text bold. We define this tag by indicating <b></b> this.

Italics:

This is use to make our text italics. And this is defined by the <i></i>. It is also a kind of pair tag.

Underlined:

This is a tag that is use to create our text in the underline format. We can define the underline by <u></u> this tags.

H1:

Normally these are the headings that we use in our document and in Html, we define the Html headings in 6 formats.

In which the h1 is the biggest heading and besides this, we can also choose other headings varied from h2 to h6.

Besides these tags we can also use the other formatting tags such as- marked text-small text, del text, ins text, subtext, sup text and we will discuss all these tags in later articles.

It actually indicates the document type declaration. And it actually indicating our web browser that which version of the Html we are using.

This tag is mainly use in the html 5 versions of html.

Meta:

But inside of this tag, there are lots of attributes that we can use many times in our program.
