Do Intel CPUs have Integrated Graphics? (Answered with List)

Integrated graphics has improved a lot in recent times, and therefore many Intel users wonder whether their Intel CPUs have Integrated Graphics or not?

After doing complete research, I am writing this article to inform you everything regarding this topic.

So, Do Intel CPUs have Integrated Graphics?

Yes! Most of the Intel CPUs comes with integrated graphics support & these CPUs are unlocked for the overclock. But few Intel CPU models lack Integrated graphics, and these processors contain the letters like “F”, “KF”, and a few “X” models.

I know that the brief answer doesn’t satisfy you, and you may have several kinds of other questions in your mind regarding this; all of your questions have been discussed below.

Do all Intel CPUs have Integrated Graphics?

No! not all Intel CPUs come with integrated graphics support, and as I mentioned earlier, the Intel CPUs that contain the letter “F” doesn’t come with integrated graphics.

That doesn’t mean that you cant use graphics on these “F” series CPUs; you need to use a discrete graphics card with these CPUs.

Even some of the 11th generation intel processors don’t come with the integrated graphics support; take a look at those graphics-

  • Intel Core i9 11900KF
  • Intel Core i9 11900F
  • Intel Core i7 11700KF
  • Intel Core i7 11700F
  • Intel Core i5 11600KF
  • Intel Core i5 11400F

All the mentioned 11th gen Intel CPUs doesn’t come with integrated graphics support & you need dedicated graphics on these CPUs.

How Do I Know if my Intel CPU has Integrated Graphics?

There are different ways to check whether your Intel CPU has Integrated graphics or not.

Here I have mentioned the most effective way to check this; follow the simple steps below-

Step 1

In the first step, press the Windows key from your keyboard & in the search type device manager.

Step 2

Next, after opening the device manager, expand the Display Adapter by clicking on the expand icon.

After that, the integrated graphics name will appear in front of your screen if your processor has integrated graphics.

Why Do some Intel CPUs not have Integrated Graphics?

As I already told you, a few Intel processors (Intel F series CPUs) doesn’t support Integrated graphics, and there are various reasons behind this.

Here I have explained some of those principal reasons-

Gaming

The gaming industry is booming day by day, and over time people are attracted to online gaming. But to get a breathtaking gaming experience, you need good graphics.

The integrated graphics from intel are suitable for casual gamers, but experts don’t recommend these graphics for pro gaming.

Many Intel CPUs comes with integrated graphics support & those are not suitable for pro gamers unless they install any dedicated graphics.

The Intel CPUs containing the letter “F” is made for gaming; therefore manufacturer doesn’t integrate any graphics within these CPUs.

So, if you want to play heavy graphics-intensive games, you must install dedicated external graphics on these processors.

Heating Issues

The Integrated graphics are suitable for basic computational tasks, but if you do some heavy CPU intensive tasks, it can be heated up.

Moreover, the integrated graphics doesn’t come with an excellent cooling solution, but that’s not the case with the dedicated graphics as they contain an ideal cooling solution.

Because of these heating issues, manufacturers don’t prefer to put integrated graphics on some Intel processors.

Professionals

Many professionals like Video Editors, Graphics designers, and animation specialists don’t prefer integrated graphics because these programs can be complicated to carry out on integrated graphics.

By keeping all of these professionals in mind, including gamers, intel manufacturers don’t integrate any graphics on some processors.

Therefore these professionals put dedicated graphics on their processors and work with ease.

Overclocking

Wikipedia explains that Overclocking is the practice of increasing the clock rate of a computer to exceed that certified by the manufacturer.

Overclocking is a vital feature for gamers because it allows gamers to run processors at higher clock speeds than initially intended.

Although it is possible to overclock integrated graphics, but Intel does not recommend its integrated graphics to overclock. On the other hand, the dedicated graphics are suitable for overclocking.

So, the manufacturer doesn’t put integrated graphics within some Intel processors by keeping the overclocking issues in mind.

Because of these four primary reasons, manufacturers don’t put any integrated graphics within some Intel processors.
