Isp gives us many facilities like internet access, internet transit, domain name registration, web hosting, colocation.

Classification of isp :

1.access provider:

It provides us internet access connection. Example-fibre optics, wifi, telephone lines.

2.mail box provider:

Provides us services for hosting email domains access storage for mail box.

Such as-google,yahoo mail,outlook .com

3.Hosting isp:

Provides mail web hosting and online storage services.

Types of isp :

For our convenience we divide the isps into mainly three categories.

Tier 1 isp:

These isps are mainly large national or international isps . These are directly connected to the internet backbone and often considered the part of the backbone itself.

These have the most speed then other tier isps .And these are the most reliable network.

Tier 2 isp:

These kind of isp purchase their internet services from tier 1 isps. It covers a specific region.

These have slowest speed than tier 1 isps . Some examples are-airtel,vodafone,jio.

Tier 3 isp:

It purchases its internet service from tier 1 isps . These also cover a specific area or region. These have the slowest network quality than other isps .

And its prices are much lower then other tier of isp.
